| John spat out several language's worth of curse words, watching the ground race up at him. Cardiff, it had to be Cardiff.... Jack would have his hide for crashing an alien vehicle into the Welsh docks. Well, at least he wouldn't find out about the events leading up to this rather horrible landing.... granted the thugs trailing him didn't have time travel technology. John didn't even feel the actual crash as the small one man transport slammed into the pavement of the Plass. He realized, looking at the ruined console and the pavement inchest from his nose, covered in shards of glass and metal, he probably passed out. Still, that was a blessing, the intense ache in his chests meant he'd hit just as hard as he'd expected to. Grunting the time traveler hit the release on his safety belt, catching himself with his hands and feet and carefully rolling to the side and then carefully standing. The cockpit was in ruin, but the back safety hatch seemed in tact.... John grunted as he twisted the release and then shoved the hatch open, pausing only to grab a bottle of alien ale before he pulled himself out of the wreckage and rolled away, landing on his back and inhaling sharply as the cold night air touched him. "Well.... guess it was time to get back anyway," he mumbled, opening the drink and taking a deep swig. It always happened like this. Just when John was involved in something insane enough to actually get him killled, somehow he always landed at Jack's doorstep. And somehow the man always managed to set him right.... John couldn't quite remember how at the moment, but this seemed as necessary a time to return as ever. | ||||
